Ride with us over Exmoor all year round at Exmoor Owl and Hawk Centre for some of the best horse riding on Exmoor, over moors, woodlands, combes and rivers. We believe this wonderful landscape offers some of the best riding in the world, with ever changing scenery through the seasons, on quality riding horses to suit all riders. Ours are not trekking horses!

Our Rides

We will take you out on one of our rides to give you memories of a lifetime - in a half day ride we will cover as much as 12 miles, with amazing views, wonderful canters, and beautiful woodland scenery. You may see red deer, peregrine falcons, buzzards, Exmoor ponies, and much more.


Bed and Breakfast

Enjoy a short break in our delightful National Trust farmhouse dating back to 1456 - comfortable, homely and friendly, with amazing architectural features, gardens, and surrounded by beautiful countryside. When you come riding with us you have your own room to change in and a hot shower on your return! A welcome cup of tea after your ride, and even a lunch or cream tea.

Falconry Activities

If you do not want to ride every day of your short break, why not fly some birds or simply enjoy the facilities of the Centre. Take a look at our activities with the birds or have a unique experience with the owls while you are staying with us.

Animal Activities

over and get to know our animals in our unique animal activities enjoying the experience of close encounter and understanding their behaviour in their natural environment - alpaca treks with the miniature donkeys and miniature shetlands across amazing countryside

Our Horses

We have four top quality horses, who are mature and well trained to take all level of rider - they will teach you greater riding skills, in safety and security, whilst also offering a fast ride if required.

Our horses are fed on natural foods, with no artificial additives - they are wormed regularly with Vermex herbal wormer; and as far as possible are treated with herbal remedies in the event of any ill health or injury.
