Our Farmhouse - Welcome to Exmoor

Cathy and Rod welcome you to their Grade II listed National Trust bed and breakfast home within Exmoor National Park; Country House style, set in six acres of landscaped gardens and paddocks, in the Vale of Porlock, on the northern edge of Exmoor.

The farm is surrounded by wooded combes, ancient woodland, river valleys, marsh and sea. Enjoy a peaceful, relaxing break in wonderful Exmoor countryside, perfect for a short break or a longer walking or countryside holiday.

Dogs Welcome - to enjoy those endless country walks

Well behaved dogs are welcome to share your bedroom - we are surrounded by mile upon mile of excellent dog walking country. All dogs will be welcomed with a dog box, bedding, clean towels and small doggy treats.

Welcome - do come in!

The farmhouse is tastefully decorated, carefully upholding traditional architectural features, such as slate skirtings, original elm floors, ancient and mullioned windows, and an amazing 15th century arched front door. It is believed that the house was built as an open-hall manor house around 1456, on the site of an original dwelling dating back to pre-Doomsday times! Many of the ancient features are still evident in the house.

Your Bedrooms

We have three lovely bedrooms, a large double, a twin and a single bedroom, all cleanly and tastefully decorated to make your stay comfortable and relaxing. The two large rooms have wonderful views across the front garden to the hill beyond, whilst the cosy single has a view to the old yards, the horses, and the Medieval thatched barn and Round House. Much of the furnishings are antique with delightful Persian rugs on the floor for comfort and style. Tea and coffee making facilities are in the room with colour TV, armchairs, and a host of books and magazines available to read. A fridge is available for your use in the main lounge area.
