Your day begins in the Owl Garden, where you will meet with Rod. He will show your around the aviaries, and then you will fly a variety of birds in the field which may incluse Tiksi our Eurasian Eagle Owl or Tundra our female Snowy owl, the largest of our owl species. You will be given a bag with food, and you will fly them, under guidance, around the field on some amazing long glides and flights, marvelling as they display some of their natural hunting and flying styles.

Following this you will fly Bandit or Elsa, our well experienced Harris Hawks, to your gloved hand, as your introduction to handling the bird on your own.

This will be followed by taking Nadi, our Indian Eagle Owl, or Dale, a Harris Hawk, up our private river trail and they will fly to your glove as you walk along the trail. This is a very beautiful walk, and a really special experience, enjoying some incredible flights and long glides from both of these incredible birds.

On returning to then farm you will be taken to our medieval World of Owls barn, and fly our specially trained owls to your fist, or encourage them onto the 'pounce box' and watch them dive from their high branches. This is an amazing display of natural owl behaviour in the wild. This will include four of the following owls:

Caspar, the Barn Owl
Pip, the Tawny Owl
Clovis, the Northern Hawk Owl
Anuk, the Great Grey Owl
Dela, the Spotted Eagle Owl
Indi, the Boobooks Owl

A fresh local produce lunch will be followed by flying a variety of larger and different birds from around the world in the open fields. This will also incorporate the afternoon flying display when you will have three or four of the following birds flown to your gloved hand.

Cookie, the Australian kookaburra
Barnie, our American Barn Owl
Inca, Peruvian Striped Owl
Buzz, the Eurasian Buzzard
Snoopy, Bengal Eagle Owl

You will then return to the Medieval Barn to fly our Rainforest Owls, Mottley and Moccadoo, the Mottled Owl and Spectacled Owl, and enjoy a slide show of the tropical rainforest, its current destruction, and the conservation work that is being achieved to help protect it for generations to come.

Your day will be completed with a delicious Somerset cream tea, either taken in the beautiful landscaped gardens, or our 15th Century farmhouse.
